Shampoo bars are a modern alternative to liquid shampoos. They are more concentrated, long-lasting and convenient to use, while still providing effective cleansing.
🌿 How do shampoo bars work?
Shampoo bars contain concentrated cleansing ingredients (surfactants) that create foam when activated with water. This foam removes dirt, oil and buildup from the scalp and hair. Because they do not contain large amounts of water like liquid shampoos, they are more efficient and last longer.
✨ How to use them correctly (important)
Shampoo bars need enough water to activate properly. Hair should be very wet – ideally “soaking wet”. The first contact between the bar and very wet hair activates the lather. Once activated, you can easily spread the foam and continue washing.
💛 How to wash your hair
Wet your hair and the bar with warm water. Rub the bar directly onto very wet hair or lather it in your hands, then massage into the scalp. Rinse thoroughly. It is recommended to wash twice.
💡 Differences between the versions
Gentle Care – the most gentle version, designed for frequent or daily use. Cleanses without drying the hair lengths and leaves a soft, comfortable feeling.
Scalp Balance – a balanced option between gentle and deep cleansing. Supports scalp comfort while still providing effective cleansing. Suitable for regular use.
Clarifying – the strongest version, designed for deeper cleansing. Helps remove buildup and excess oil. May leave hair feeling slightly “squeaky clean”, which is a normal effect of deeper cleansing.
💛 Effect on hair
The effect on hair length may vary depending on your hair type. Some people may not need additional care, while others may benefit from using a conditioner or hair mask.
🌿 About the formula
Shampoo bars are based on cleansing ingredients called surfactants, which are responsible for cleansing and foam. This formula uses milder surfactants such as SCI (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate) and SLSa (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate). These can be derived from plant-based sources (like coconut oil), but they are processed – so they are not fully “natural”, although they are considered gentler and more skin-friendly.
💡 SCI vs SLSa vs SLS (simple explanation)
SCI – very mild, creates a creamy foam, gentle on skin and hair.
SLSa – stronger than SCI but still milder than SLS, provides good cleansing and foam.
SLS – strong detergent, can be drying and irritating.
👉 SLSa is not the same as SLS, despite similar names.
💡 Additional care ingredients
In addition to cleansing agents, the formulas include ingredients that support hair and scalp condition. BTMS helps smooth the hair, panthenol supports hydration and scalp comfort, hydrolyzed proteins (silk or rice) improve softness, and clays (kaolin) support gentle cleansing and scalp balance.
🌿 pH of the product
The shampoo bars have a scalp-friendly pH (approximately 5–5.5), which helps support the natural balance of the scalp and hair.
🌱 Good to know
Store in a dry place and allow the bar to dry between uses to extend its lifespan.
⚠️ What to keep in mind
Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
